National Institute of Technology Durgapur Faculty Assistant Professor Jobs 2013

Salary : Academic Grade Pay -Rs.8000/Pay Band-PB3: Rs.15600-39100

Essential Qualification :  Ph.D. with First class in the preceding examination in appropriate branch (60% or CGPA of 6.5 as applicable,where class is not awarded).

Relevant Experience :Minimum 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M. Tech. degree in a position of Assistant Professor or equivalent with grade pay of not less than Rs 6000, working in any IIT/NIT/university/deemed university/institute/ college/industries/ CSIR or similar research institutions or as Post Doctoral Fellow in a reputed Institute/university.

Other essential requirements : 2 paper s in Science Citation Index (SCI)/ Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)/ Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) journals outside Ph.D. work. One ongoing sponsored project for candidates from academia. Two experimental or computational projects added to
teaching laboratories where appropriate.

Additional Desirable requirements:One Ph.D. supervision ongoing; 1 Patent; Experience in industry or R & D lab oratory of repute; UG or PG project supervision on live industrial problems
